| Other Information: | General Expectations:
Provide instruction to elementary level students. Ability to emphasize reading, writing and math skills at the expected grade level. Ability to adapt to a technology-based environment; Smartboard, iPad, Tablets, Chromebooks. Attend professional development meetings on a regular basis. Exemplary work attendance. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Knowledge in developing formative and summative assessments. Knowledge in the development of the district-level curriculum. Knowledge of the Missouri Learning Standards for elementary grade levels. Create and implement a classroom management plan. Communicates effectively with all members of the school district, parents and community. Communicate and plan with a cooperative grade level teacher. Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and discipline. Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner. Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other assistance teams as requested. Implement special education plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs, and individual health plans. Reacts to change productively. Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination, and harassments as directed by Board policy. Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher. Participate in the Summer School Program. Supervisory Duties: Supervise students at all times. Participate in before and after school supervisory positions. Other Skills and Abilities: Be able to identify the needs and abilities of individual students and to adapt instructional methods accordingly. Speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously. Move around the classroom. Be able to present information to students and co-workers. Ensure that activities conform to district and state guidelines. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position. | |
