| Description: | The Mexico Public School District is seeking applications for the position of Director of Health Services (RN) for the 2024-2025 school year. QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse certification Currently licensed to practice in the state of Missouri Currently certified in CPR/1st Aid Two years of related job experience Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to): Oversite of the District Nursing Staff Provide leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a coordinated school health program. Provide a system for prevention and control of communicable diseases; Implement board policy on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases. Assess, plan, and implement age-appropriate screening programs and provide follow-up referrals for identified health needs Observe and triage students for illness and injury in the school setting according to protocols and school district policy. Maintains immunization records on all students and submits reports to the state as required. Administers medication according to the board policy Administers first aid in accordance with established first aid protocol. Trains and supervises LPNs, health aids and secretaries who cover the health office CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance FLSA STATUS: Not Exempt Applications will be screened as they are submitted.
