Description:  Calo Programs, a leading residential treatment center for 9- to 18-year-olds impacted by developmental trauma and attachment issues, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher / IEP coordinator to join our Lake Ozark, Missouri academic team. About 1/6 of our students have IEPs when they enroll with us, but most of them certainly could qualify for an IEP. Just about every student at some time here has trouble regulating their emotions enough to attend class or to stay in class. So most of our students could qualify for IEPs with an emotional disturbance. The IEP Coordinator/Teacher will: Function as the primary contact for IEP caseload Maintain appropriate communication with school districts Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations Prepare required reports on students and activities Participate in treatment team meetings with academic team Work with students in small groups or on an individual basis to support IEP needs Create engaging and appropriate lesson plans Observe and evaluate to provide feedback Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Minimum of a bachelor's degree - master's preferred Hold and maintain Special Education teaching certificate Clear state and federal background check Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance Paid time off, including seven (7) paid holidays Flexible shifts and work environment Free meals from our amazing kitchen Monthly access to an on-site doctor for physicals or treatment of acute issues 401(k) retirement plan (after 60 days of employment) with a broad range of investment options and matching contributions CPR, Safe Crisis Management, and First Aid training and certification
Other Information:  Pay is $56,972/year. Lake Ozark, Missouri location - this is NOT a remote position.
