| Description: | The Gallatin R-V School District is hiring a full-time school counselor for Pre-K through 4th grades. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and student-centered with the ability to deliver a comprehensive school counseling program. The program should meet the career, academic, and social-emotional needs of students. The counselor will provide brief counseling for individual students and groups, counsel them through the development of educational and career plans, and refer severe problems to appropriate community resources. The school counselor will also consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students. Furthermore, the counselor will conduct classroom counseling lessons and therapeutic activities in the classroom in conjunction with the administration and teachers. If a situational crisis occurs, the counselor will respond accordingly. The school counselor ought to maintain a professional attitude in the handling of confidential materials. The school counselor will be an active member of the PBIS and MTSS teams. | |
| Other Information: | This is a 9 1/2-month contract with salary and benefits based on education and experience. Applicants must have Missouri Certification and pass a criminal background check.
