Description:  The Newtown-Harris R-III School District is currently accepting applications for a PreK-12 music teaching position for the 2024-25 school year. Duties would include band and choral for the middle school through high school levels in addition to elementary music classes. The opportunity may exist to combine with Grundy County R-V in order to continue The Big Cat Band like the 2023-2024 school year. This collaboration can be discussed with the right candidate. Newtown-Harris will be utilizing the 4-day school week in the 2024-25 school year. Employment benefits include a competitive salary, fully-paid health insurance, life insurance, sick and personal leave, maternity leave, and bereavement leave. Teachers at Newtown-Harris benefit from small class sizes and personal relationships with both students and other staff members. The position will be open until filled.
