| Description: | October 17, 2022 English Teacher Job Announcement Missouri Military Academy is seeking a full-time English Instructor starting the spring semester of 2022-2023 school year. The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with a degree in English and must have previous teaching experience in the subject area, including composition, literature, poetry and speech. Applicants must have a current understanding of best practice and pedagogy in teaching English to cadets at the high school level. A graduate degree in English or a related field is preferred. Persons with expertise in multiple academic areas and/or coaching experience are highly desirable. A commitment to the academic and social/emotional growth of cadets is essential. Faculty members serve in a wide capacity across the campus including participating in cadet life activities, as well as academic advisors. Being able to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members and residential staff is critical for this position. Candidates should be realistic and excited about the challenges and rewards of teaching and working in an academically challenging college preparatory school environment. Missouri Military Academy offers a dynamic educational experience for boys in grades 7-12 in a military boarding school environment.
